  • Since 2021, Princeton has lost seven students to suicide—the highest known Ivy League rate in five years. In a resource-rich community, any deaths signal systemic failure demanding immediate, transparent reform.

  • Current institutional communication is largely restricted to the aftermath of a tragedy. This silence obscures the magnitude of the campus climate crisis. Beyond data, we must address an environment that often validates burnout and isolation as academic norms.

  • We are advocating for a Princeton that aligns with its highest ideals. This requires a transition from temporary wellness programs to deep structural reform, specifically regarding the academic leave-of-absence process and the high-pressure social culture. By dismantling the toxic habits embedded in our daily lives, Princeton can set the global standard for student support and ensure a community where every student can thrive.
